Jakarta Fashion Week 2016 starts with bangs! L’Oréal Professionnel launched its latest hair color trend for IT Looks Fall Winter 2016/2017 on Saturday, October 22nd, at Senayan City Mall. This year, L’Oréal collaborated with four top Indonesian fashion designers: Peggy Hartanto, Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan, Lotuz, and Diniira.
Walking the stage was this year’s IT Girls, each showing off the newest IT Looks creation by top local hair stylists. Chloe Clau with her chic Pixie Sterling Grey cut by Andy Lie, Dara Warganegara dazzles with Side Shaved Rose Blond by Arie Hidayat, Firrina Sinatrya debuts Bob Olive Brown by Irwan Rovani, Patricia Gunawan charms with her Glunge Lavender Brown by Lie Kuang, and finally Jessica Sutanto rocks in Warrior Braid Caramel by Solhan & Fenny Aprilia (winners from L’Oréal Professionnel Style and Colour Trophy 2016). All looks are result of INOA hair products.
For Zalonku, it was an honored to be invited to the show as well as given the chance to talk to 3 special guests. We chatted with Shareefa Daanish, Indah Soewandy, and Lala Karmela while getting L’L’Oréal Professionnel Oréal makeover treatment using INOA products at Irwan Team Hair Salon. The fashion influencers talked about their favorite INOA colors and new hairstyle trends in Jakarta. Shareefa predicts, “I think we are going to see a lot of bob haircut.” Shareefa also reminisced about her modeling days. She always used L’Oréal Professionnel products to maintain her hair condition.
While Shareefa loves having brightly colored hair – once, her hair was flaming red! – Indah prefers subtle look. “I want my hair to look shiny but still keep its natural look. I think it fits my personality more, I am girly and energetic but not too much,” said Indah. Meanwhile, singer Lala is balancing her look with her music. She explains, “What I am doing with L’Oréal Professionnel right now is mixing a bit of 80’s classic rock to my look because my new album is super 80’s influenced!” Lala, who idolized celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, opted for LBD to make a stark contrast to her plum pastel pink hair.
Lala’s rock vibe look is mirrored on the catwalk. The IT Looks show starts at 4 pm and the room is packed with guests. Each four designers show off their newest collection with hair styled by L’Oréal Professionnel backstage stylists. Yosafat was all about head-to-toe black, sky-high heels and jumpsuits. Lotuz are pairing brown hair color with monochrome dresses. Diniira’s showing their Batik trademark in loose-fitting cloth such as crop top, maxi dress, or palazzo. While Peggy Hartanto, whose style is very girly girly Danish influence Chic, inspired by the Danish Girl movie, is quite a contrast to the other three designers.
The annual trademark hair show by L’Oréal Professionnel was a huge success. We are already looking forward to 2017-2018 show!
